[ENG] Death=Chance
While the work "28Kg" focuses on the endless process of vulnerability and healing, the work "Death=Chance" is interested in the attempt to create a new body through this process. The process of working on flaying is the same as in "28Kg", but the flayed clay cuts this time become the materials to make a new sculpture. Each clay mass takes on a freely formed specific body through flaying and building. (...) Moreover, the bodies stand on the earth, where I draw several O and X with the earth. The sign O and X means, just as they are usually understood, yes and no. (...) Both the new bodies and the sign O and X symbolize the meanings of this changeable downfall in life and its affirmation. -from my thesis [KOR]-

Während die Arbeit „28kg” auf den endlosen Vorgang der Verwundbarkeit und Heilung fokussiert, interessiert bei der Arbeit „Tod=Chance” der Versuch, durch diesen Vorgang einen neuen Körper entstehen zu lassen. Der Prozess der Bearbeitung von Häutung ist dem bei „28Kg” gleich, aber die gehäuteten Tonschnitte werden diesmal die Materialien, um eine neue Skulptur herzustellen. Jede Tonmasse bekommt durch die Häutung und das Bauen einen frei geformten spezifischen Körper. (...) Darüber hinaus stehen die Körper auf der Erde, wo ich mit der Erde mehrere O und X zeichne. Das Zeichen O und X bedeutet, genauso wie man sie üblicherweise versteht, Ja und Nein. (...) Sowohl die neuen Körper als auch das Zeichen O und X veranschaulichen die Bedeutungen dieses wechselhaften Untergangs im Leben und dessen Bejahung. -aus meiner Thesis
